fiddleheads!!

Sometimes waiting for the cable guy has it's benefits. From 8am to 4pm I sat and passed the time making and weaving the ends in on my fiddlehead mitts.
Fiddlehead mitts by Hello Yarn
3.75mm needles
The yarn is Sublime Merino angora, It took the most of the white ball, and only snippets of the other colors. These were only my second attempt at colorwork, and I actually liked it MORE than knitting lace....who knew. Now I am circling the Anemoi mittens by Eunny jang.....maybe I need to get my phone lines serviced.....

new wpi's

I am not sure about the erd color in these mitts. The wool is Sublime Angora merino, and I love the softness, and i know they'll be warm as toast. I have changed my mind on the colors at least ten times in the last few weeks.

This is Faye's christmas present. The wool is Romni Wools silk and wool bulky. It sheds like hell, but is wonderfully soft and nice to knit with . Her hair is white and long, it will look wonderful on her.

trellis

This is from Knitty of course. I loved the wool.Mission Falls 1824 wool is much nicer knit up than in the ball.I find it knits to an Aran weight, and I am a tight knitter. This was done as the pattern was written, and I used all but about 24 inches of the wool.
