VK cover sweater cabled bolero

Here's the frist swatch, first pentagon, and I loved knitting this. I am doing it in Cascade 220, as I tried a swatch for the Norah gaughan IK 2006 cabled sweater and didn't like how it looked. Those twist stitches just bothered me. I am a little afraid this wiull make me look HUGE.....but I am going to giver her a try anyways

solid color socks

well mostly solid anyways.This is the kool-aid yarn partly knit into the SKS ribbed lace pattern. I am sort of over variegated socks for now. first lace sock, only one tink episode so far.

kool aid dyejob

for once the dyejob isn't on my hair!! Here is the result of kool aid dyeing a hank of KNitpicks dye-your-own sock yarn. I used a 9x9 inch baking glass pan, dyed once with four packs of black cherry kool-aid, then before drying, i overdyed with four packs of grape. It took at least five 2 minute rounds of microwaving at 2 minutes per time to get the dye to take up the colors completely.
